Completed Projects

M&T Bank

After having heard about my work at Uline and HanesBrands, I was invited to build a business intelligent client-server based SQL solution at M&T Bank to support their Business Banking operations involving the buyouts of commercial and retail loans as the bank mergers and aquires smaller operations in the NY region. The solution offered the bank the ability to import ad-hoc and timely feeds using native SSIS services, and access to a host of pivot reports, and users to highly functional dashboards. Underlying business rules evaluate new or emerging account loans to enable officers to process and tend to growing consumer inquiries, therefore, lowering incidents and increasing repayments on schedule.

Uline

Uline provided me with the greatest oppurtunity to deliver a cohesive set of database frameworks, architectural solutions, documentation, and a collection of intelligent business applications that improved their existing data access and reporting capabilities. Plagued with continuious bottleneck and performance problems over time due to high demands on shared database requests, underlying practices and database designs were modified to alleviate the number of commonly shared access objects that were requested simultaneously by data users. Some of their existing applications were also modified to adopt true client-server models to overcome locking, overwriting and oversized archives. Cumbersome code, disorganized stored procedures and repetitive procedures were updated to provide the best performance solution and overcome old design constraints.

St. Bernard Preparatory School

Due to growing interests from benefactors, students and affiliate institutions, a revamp of the existing website and underlying services is implored.  This undertaking will employ the latest AJAX, VS.NET TEAM and ASP.NET, SharePoint technology to enable both administrators and end-users to easily conduct frequent updates.  The new site will feature numerous photo albums, a registry, trouble ticket system, teacher-parent reporting and an event notification system.

Full House Restaurant Marketing

Full House Restaurant Marketing is a one-stop marketing solution for restaurants whose target market is focused neighborhoods and integrated communities.  The last few months has seen a rise in an effort to drive business in known market segments and neighborhoods who demographics are in alignment with cuisines, specialties and ethnicity, which gave rise to a focused model that is both affordable and has a high rate of success.  Full House Marketing offers a successful, low risk campaign based solution to help neighborhood or mall based restaurants to reach out to its consumers.  I have offered them a web service based application with full affiliate based support and field agent CRM functionality.  Their site is available at http://www.fullhouserestaurantmarketing.com

Shelby County Treatment Center

A local clinic using an established case management system needed critical assistance with their business processes and applications.  We successfully extended their hierarchical MS Access application into a DESKTOP/OUTLOOK model using VB.NET which now features a long awaited payment collection, treatment charging and scheduling system with embedded automation features.

Lawler Manufacturing

A business diversification initiative was created by commission of the president of the company with the sole purpose to extend current assets to enable new lines of business and opportunities resulted in the creation of Lawler Logistics.  In addition to a series of marketing campaigns that now allows a new household line to be sold through local sellers, the revamp of their website now features sales automation and marketing solution previously unavailable to their market.

CXT Concrete

The CXT Concrete Products subsidiary of L.B.Foster provides a line of concrete building products that range from shower, restroom, vault, utility, storage and concession everyday facilities that are both economical, efficient to maintain and highly durable.  Equipped to both customized needs and common operational requirements, the buildings can easily accommodate water, power, sewer and other utilities that makes these facilities highly functional.  Their operational system which is based on a J.D.Edwards enterprise application requires additional applications that is customized to serve various day-to-day services that cannot be achieved easily through the proprietary system.

Harmony In Motion

A group of health professionals in Birmingham commissioned my help to develop the operations,  programs and the business model that is designed to combine three (3) core aspects of living that results in an innovative organization known as Harmony In Motion.  This group combines PROSPERITY, HEALTH and FITNESS which emphasizes the need for a focused regimen of diet, exercise and mental training that would help an individual to achieve a level of success that traverses all areas of their life.  The site is viewable at http://www.myharmonyinmotion.com/

L.B. Foster Company

After developing a legacy interface with their national customers, sales, quality assurance and shipping department required a simple application to track products and orders.  A MS Access client-server application was built quickly and used to track production of steel pipes, coating products and generate performance reports.  Also featured are automation functions to keep track of materials, measurements and costs that provides cost periodical reports.  A second application using the same model was developed to support their national sales force, which features remote SETUP and SYNCHRONIZATION.

St. Bernard Monastery

A replacement site was built with enhanced ASP.NET features designed to leverage an underlying SQL Server and connect with SharePoint services.  The monastery is equipped with contemporary Windows 2003 services also features monastic services such as a VOTIVE CANDLE gallery designed to receive, route and offer status of prayers intentions received from the internet.  The database driven service also serves novices and guests who are interested in vocations offered by this century old monastery.

Hanesbrands

My background in developing intelligent business solutions lead to the project at Hanesbrands where I became involved in migrating an existing collection of ACCESS based reports to create a cohesive BI solution.  The customer benefited from this solution because it combines the disjointed reporting tools into a highly manageable application that support automation, report dispatching, cohesive AS400 and manufacturing host database extractions to provide a solution that is quick, seamless and easy to maintain.  This process streamlined existing processes, reduced devoted overhead and created a solution that has been compared with ESSBASE functionality with all of its inherent extraction complexities but the added simplicity of a user-friendly and wizard driven tool.

The system in place also features analytical processing in the hope that series and collections can be measured for success and demand rates so we may anticipate seasonal trends and performance.

Trussville Board of Education

The IT department required assistance in developing a Student Information System which features a suite of on-line and DOT.NET application.  The result of a long range initiative planning effort sought the need for a RFID system, library student logging, lunchroom payment, PayPal student commerce; all of which interfaces with the Alabama State Registry.  A trouble-ticket system for IT, faculty and maintenance were complete in planning and a prototype for the student system was created.  Numerous features such as photo albums, a registry, queuing, logging, alerts, teacher-parent reporting and an event notification system were also integrated and demonstrated.
