Having successfully managed a set of applications, groups & worked alongside senior executives, I was tasked to lead the the Card Analytics Transformation effort which focused on the digital transformation from legacy DB/2 into DB/2 Blue, Teradata & the Hadoop Data Lake. The effort also coincided with the European divestiture of Bank of America which was being acquired by Lloyds of London.

As the Solutions Architect, I spearheaded the dispositioning exercise in an effort to understand the application & data landscape that employed the bankcard FinTech. It enabled me to perform the necessary deep dives into the consumption of data, processes, distribution, usage & related activities impacting downstream application with the objective of trying to simplify, normalize, standardize data & to eliminate redundancy to alleviate the digital footprint, while ensuring regulatory compliances are being fulfilled. These included the need for securing data, ensuring authorized use, appropriating retention, & assessing the pattern of distribution or provisioning.

ARCHITECTURE DID GREAT THINGS!

My previous experience as a Portfolio Architect allowed me to exact my skills to build a portal to augment the Card Transformation effort by providing servicing architects to engage clients using an integrated analysis tool enabling them to obtain a good understanding of their application landspace & capturing usage, classification, retention, downstream obligations. It also allowed them to help validate inter-connected data views in an effort to reduce their footprint by consolidating common uses while classifying domain access to ensure privacy enabled by developed permissible views. The successful utilization of the portal drove the dispositioning effort to define the necessary objects for the target-state, making it far more efficient, simpler & architecturally compliant supporting a big-data topology. The resulting system met the operational & analytical design needs that embraces a far more resilient while offering significant cost savings without compromising its promised SLAs. The overall architectural goals of governance where also satisfied by implementing Intelligent Data Management & Data Quality obligations by adopting data provisioning standards to ensure curated information is properly logged, monitored & managed supporting supply chain agreement rules.
