Wells Fargo EBTA
Establish a practice management plaform for enterprise architecture group servicing LOB.

Enterprise Business Technology Architecture Group
Returning to Wells Fargo after having assisted neearly a decade ago with the Wachovia-First Union merger, my principal focus was to help establish a Practice & Governance Management in an effort to bring their HR, Marketing, Risk, Finance portfolios into corporate compliance with the introduction of most recent improved Pipeline Management System. The effort will provide the proper guidance for existing and new architect the means to engage projects & produce enterprise approved artifacts that will comply with project requirements.
As an Enterprise Architect, I supported the Enterprise Business Technology Architecture group and serviced the Human Resources Information Technology (HRiT) portfolio by developing, procuring, and delivering solutions that integrates with Wells Fargo enterprise applications. I successfully built the Enterprise Architecture Engagement process and created an integrated SharePoint based governance & compliance solution to track projects, architecture processes, deliverables and automated the workflow of intakes, work efforts & documents leveraging dashboards, shared responsitories, version control and process models.
My initial role was to serve as a Practice Manager intended on building an entire Practice Management Office so that all work can be properly managed, services, assigned, tracked & subjected to reviews/approvals to meet project & corporate compliance. Shortly after, I engaged the HR portfolio to exercise the portal design, to discover new patterns of work against the engagement process, & to support an overloaded CTO resource that needs to meet compliance quickly. Taking on one of the most critical programs transforming the eLearning ecosystem helped test the governance operations thoroughly while showcasing the new product to win confidence of the architects in the team to adopt the portal with its intuitive wizards & UI/UX models designed to help them every inch of the process. Within a brief period, architects were onboarding projects, compulsary architects, conducting weekly reviews against a ARB represented by portfolio managers and integrating data/feeds from multiple corporate systems to help navigate a comprehensive system once thought too expensive to build using traditional tools such as Archer.

The greatest value of establishing a Practice Management Office along with its Governance Portal functions is that it offers servicing architects profuse clarity of the evolving issues & problems subjected along their portfolios, while giving their leadership a subjective insisting into the organizational in-adequacies. Middle management will also get a glimpse of compliance shortcomings, both within the established practice & how team members have successfully negotiated the deployment landscape. More importantly, it allows architects to reclaim the corporate responsibility as corporate citizens to meet the excellence required to deliver solutions that are robust, secure, extensible, fault tolerant & exceeeds industry standards so its is not prone to failures. This also permitted architects to create achievable roadmaps for portfolios to embrace the cloud platform.

Governance
Regulation is the principal reason for governance to ensure that designs & patterns adhere to established policies to reduce problems of non-compliance, poor designs, non-adherance to standards, used to establish the credibility of the solutions developed for real-world applications. It demonstrates a degree of certainty that designs were vetted thoroughly & establishes a high level of accountability that nothing has been overlooked, so that a solution can withstand consumer expectations.

Digital Transformation
Digitizing information into consumable data formats increases the capabilities of the organization to ingest & report on defensible facts, producing necessary requests with relative ease in an age where electronic exchange has become a demanding norm. Age old repositories are being tranformed to support processing needs while simulatenously offering intelligent data management, presistence & centralized reporting based on authorized data provisioning technologies.

GDPR
This regulation adds to the existing set of data management practices that adheres to persistence, disposition, privacy & retention policies, while extending the need for jurisdictional needs. It also eanbles the firm to implement cross-border management practices by establishing a uniform set of methods for requesting & transfering protected/private data outside the EU & EEA jurisdictions. Adopting this rule also prepares the organization to embrace new rules established for California.
